Yesterday was in the mid 50s and today we made it to 60 degrees and sunny. It was beautiful out! It was nice to open the windows and air the house out. It was also too nice to sit inside all day. The kids played in the yard and I grilled ribs. It was so nice to be outside and in the yard again. The sad part to this is, I'm sure there is a snow storm or two till in storm for us this winter/spring. But I an excited about spring getting here!

Where does the time go. I can't believe its been almost a year since I've posted on here. So, we'll play a little catch-up. Cloie turned 1 in June. Kyle stared a new job in July as an FTD instructor. Lexy turned 4 in Sept. And we've survived another Christmas / New Years in Germany.

On that note, its 2011! I finally just got it engraved in my brain to write 2010 on everything.... time to start the learning process. Speaking of learning, Kyle finished his associates degree in Avionic Systems back in Oct. He will be starting his bachelors Jan 20th. It will be a trying time for the next two years working a full time job and being a full time student, but it will be worth it in the end!

We have alot to look forward to this Spring. First off, warm weather! :) Also Kyle will be going TDY back to Texas, again, but this time as an instructor not a student. After his TDY we are going HOME for vacation! We are so excited about going home! Especially since its been a year and a half since we've been home. We are also planing some trips here in Europe this year that we are really excited about too!

Ok, enough catch up for now. We are going to try to keep up with this blogging thing this year! :)The Hillshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01341045996609971483noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4828407754819388199.post-91645655647343301212010-04-06T20:55:00.000+02:002010-04-06T20:55:43.624+02:00The Honesty & Intelligence of AlexisToday I took Alexis across the street to the playground. When we arrived there were two other children already there. A little girl who was probably 4 or 5 and a little boy who was probably 5 or 6. Alexis, being the outgoing little girl she is, immediately. They were taller and a little quicker than her, so she kept yelling, "Hey Kids, wait for me." Finally the little boy turned around and said, "We're not kids, we're bigger than you" and instantly Alexis fired back "But I'm smarter". The little boy turned and walked away, I chuckled, and then had to explain to Alexis that that probably wasn't the nicest way to say it, but had to give her a high-five for her quick wit!

Later today, Alexis and I ran to the Commissary to get some firewood and marshmallows. We went the to "Do-It-Yourself" checkout. At the end of the purchase the computer tells you, "Please use the pin pad below and press the enter button when finished." After the computer finished, Alexis loudly and sarcastically says, "I'll push your enter button."

Oh the joys of having 2 wonderful children! They keep us busy but we love you Alexis & Cloie!!!
For example....

CARPET

For some reason every European house we've been in / lived in they are all tiles floors, wood floors, or tile and wood floors. No carpet. There are both pros and cons to this:
Pros: Easy Clean ups, easy potting training.
Cons: Hard, cold, and Tiles and wood floors can become extremely slippery. Unfortunately these slippery floors led to Krystal falling (while caring a large load of clean laundry) and landing on her wrist. So not only was there clean cloths decorating the shelves, lamps, and floor in our bedroom, but she also broke her wrist.

So the next time you think it would be nice to rip out all your carpet and install tiles or wooden planks, think, "Is it really worth broken bones?" LOL
He is my light, my strength, my song
This Cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My Comforter, my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand

"In Christ alone, who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
‘Til on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live

There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ

No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life’s first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
‘til He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand" ♫
I have always been against "blogs" because I can write HTML code and have always designed/managed a website for our family. Unfortunately, web design is a constant learning process and takes large amounts of time. It also limited anyone else from making updates/posts because of these reasons.

SO, I finally decided to make a blog so Krystal and I can both create post and it can be done alot quicker than editing an entire website.

So here's our first post! We look forward to adding "glimpses" into our family's life through posts and pictures. We hope you enjoy!
